ReSt day
So today I spent my afternoon napping and playing psp. New game called 300 where you are the King of Spartan and trying to kill anyone who is non Greek. Enemy is Persian.
Den I happen to take my 2nd meal of the day at 4.00pm and watch an old version of Guess Guess Guess. I heard Jacky Wu is going to retire. I think I will miss him cos he is very fast in his jokes but if u were humiliated by him, it feels like your heart being stabbed alot of times.
Nephew Ashton is going to be 2 yr old in April :)
Interesting article = Treat investing like a marriage from Business Times
WHEN I was your age, I was not studying or looking after investments; I was chasing girls. It is a pleasure to be with you because it takes me back many years - it rejuvenates me to meet young minds and young students. I am different from him..
It takes me down memory lane because I met my wife in university, and, fortunately, somehow I got a law degree. My mom thought I would not make it. My marriage has lasted 35 years, so the recipe I would recommend to you is a university mate for life.
It was a sound investment for me. I found her in the Arts and Social Sciences faculty, and she has given me good returns. She gave me three sons and a happy life for 35 years. Good returns hahaha..
At your age, I think you should be investing your time wisely. First, get a degree, then a partner, and then look at investments. I know the government has reduced the investing age to 18, but take care; to do well in choosing your partner, you need patience, you need skill, you need intelligence, you need tolerance - and you need the stomach to put up with her. If you do that, then you will pick your investments very wisely. I think I am looking at investments and a partner at the same time -_-''' If you do this well, then you will be a successful investor. Just like a successful marriage, being invested means riding the year's ups and downs of the market, taking a long-term prospects view of your investment. Hmm some of my friends already attached for yrs! They have been investing for so long :) Hope they can get marry soon :)

南拳妈妈 - 下雨天
不敢打给你 我找不到原因
什么失眠的声音
变得好熟悉
沉默的场景 做你的代替
陪我等雨停
The first two sentences are so full of meaning. Oh my..
Chorus:
怎样的雨 怎样的夜
怎样的我能让你更想念
雨要多大
天要多黑 才能够有你的体贴
Just wanting you to love me more. Full of meaning. I am not translating, just that its so full of meaning. Very nice song !
End of two quizzes today
Wanted to organise an outing with Jason and Guobin to celebrate our victory but BUSY Guobin has AB214 ! ArggGh. So I think I will either rot at home tomorrow or find some friends to go out. Everybody seems to busy with something after these two quizzes. Guobin has AB214, Jason has his insurance elective, Sijie has his choir (wow).
After the quizzes, GB, Sijie and I went to gym. So I was asking GB, it seems lucky that we didn book tixs beforehand as Jetstar has promotion for air tixs to Taiwan. It costs only $300 to Taiwan tt time. I think during that point of time, we didn imagine we can go Taiwan through the competition. I think for the competition, we can extend our stay after the competition but not sure we can do it as all the details are not confirmed. Den GB come out with his theory, its all fated. Yar, it looks like all fated, I almost wanted to join the competition with Fred and Jason and suddenly GB and Jason are interested to do it together :) Do you believe in FATE ?
And I asked GB, did u tell your mum you are going to Taiwan to compete? He said yesh but his mum asked why must go so far, Taiwan to compete? I laughed out loud and said.. GB! your mum must be high tech geek, competition nowadays can be done through internet, do not have to physically go there. It was super funny.
There is one headache thing in my head. We asked chun xu to tag along for Taiwan grad trip so now its quite problematic. Imagine chunxu flying there alone and flying back to Spore alone if we are on different flights. Oh my. . Lets just see how it goes.

Finally, its over
Five grueling weeks of meetings have finally ended and all our hard work are paid off :) Must thank Guobin for coming to my house everyday to do the computation which motivates Jason to come too. Jason's excel spreadsheet is formiable. Haha.
My nephew is always shy to strangers and will run towards to hug my mum when gb and jason come too close to him. At the rate they are coming to my house, my nephew even says bye bye to them at the last few visits. Oh my.. Haha.
Back to study now. I think I will have withdrawl symptoms again.
Anyway I also give some advices to Stephen in Cesim and he came 2nd. Lose the first team by 0.x%. :) Feel so happy for him. I oso help MinQi abit (almost give them wrong info at times) and they are lucky to get come in at 2nd too :) Feel so happy for them. I think I wont get enough of Cesim

Pan Asian Round 3 - I dun like SMU groups
Let just see how SMU people works.
SMU groups are losing to NTU groups by a huge margin and so they are thinking of ways to overtake the NTU groups. There is a rule in this game such that if your price is more than the (average pricex1.3), your store will not sell any goods. So from the information which I was given, the 5 SMU groups could have collude together to sell low so that the 3 NTU groups could not sell any. By company law, collusion of price is not allowed and I strongly feel their plot should be exposed and this is not ethical. Explicit collusion is not allowed.
To make it to layman terms, imagine all your supermarkets collude (NTUC, SHOP N SAVE, SHENG SIONG), they started to collude to charge high price to the customers. However, in the game, SMU groups collude to charge low prices. I am very disappointed with the SMU ppl. It had just wasted my 3 hours to think what to do in Round 4.
Fortunately, the system still allows all the NTU groups to sell but i cant figure why we are allowed to sell thou. However, I am still worried I could not sell any next round. See the picture for my details. They used to sell at different prices at $40 to $52 at round 2. You can see 4 SMU groups sell at 13 dollars and one group sells $16 at round 3. Enlarged version of Round 3. Its clear that they set low prices purposely.

Pan Asian Finals!!!
Result has came out. Top 2 teams are NTU groups and the 3rd and 4th teams are from SMU. All top 4 teams will combine from another group of top 4 to compete in the grand finals of Pan Asian. The winner of the these 8 teams will go to Taiwan free to compete with other countries!
NTU roxs. We trashed SMU teams on their face! woohoo.. The rivalry between both schools will never die off. Like Man U Vs Liverpool.
My team's results so far from in this game Vs SMUs.
Round 1 - 2nd
Round 2 - 5th oh my.. :(
Round 3 - 2nd
Round 4 - 1st
In the end Overall 1st !!!
We have make it this far now and I believe the top teams' capabilities should be around the same. The winner could either boil down to the least mistake made and a stroke of luck or real competitive advantage. Super exciting. I cant study AA306, AA304 and Astro quiz. Results doesn matter to me in this sem anyway.

The Perfect Cut 10pm show
The last episode of Perfect Cut was full of philosophy. I couldn't really catch what Thomas Ong said but its something like applaud will dies off, trophy put away to dust. It almost like telling me not to pursue success blindly and be contented. Woah.
And Michelle Xie said to Wind, 'Thomas Ong (Alex Tan) is not because he is the first, he is the ONLY one'. Woah. Very mind blowing. Love is still very abstract to me.
Oh didn't mention that Thomas Ong used to be my idol. I remembered I put poster of him last time. He is 40 yrs old now but look like 30 yrs old. I cant imagine how I look at 30 yrs old. Thinking of tt, its only 6 more years to go!
Anyway, today I refused to pick up my phone while watching tv, so my mum at the age of 59 runs down the stairs to pick it up (she can pick the phone upstairs but duno why she dun wan to do it). Wahaha I feel happy because seeing my mum runs means she is healthy! Again, I wondered can I run so fast next time. Must go to gym or exercise more often den :)

2nd round of Pan Asian starts today!
So gb and jason came to my house today and my room now has a whiteboard to draw all the conclusions. Feel like a tutor when holding the marker. Hehe. Jason also thinks its good training too. He has ambition to be a secondary school teacher which I think is a serious waste of talent. We should be doing substantive analytical checks and discover some fraud and make a name for ourselves! Hahahaha.

2 more weeks to tooth implant
If implant look sucks = impairment straight..
Fred told me he went to whiten his teeth for $500 and he had two implants and done braces before. Seem like he is worse off than me but his teeth is damn white!

All about you - Odds :)
So I was worried that Jason and Gb will burnt out due to so many trials, I decided to key the numbers my own. I think quite tiring to keep coming to my house just for trials and they kinda agree to my idea of relaxing in trials and work hard during real rounds.
Back to odds topic. I think I am full of funny ideas. Today, I was super tired, 630am wake up so I desperately need a train seat cos NTU is so far. So, I went to the back of train and aim for those students with uniform which I know will alight at Hougang. I saw the badge Holy Innocents so I just act cool and stand in front of her.. haha. Yea and I get the seat to sit to outram park.
So some people were wondering how to invest in stocks. To get better odds, you have to read up, discuss with knowledgeable friends (preferably ppl who dun use technical analysis), avoid those obvious untouchables like high P/e ratios, avoid no track record of profits. I think I will stop here as people will get bored if I continue :)
Cheers to getting better odds in life!

Changing passwords of my accounts
So while I was changing, starting to realize it is easy to change the password and this could really wreak havoc your accounts. Imagine I dun have control over my msn, facebook, and my poems accounts anymore. Lucky, internet banking has two factor identification :)
Just a random post :)

All about Pan Asian
Den I was quite confident to at least pass first round but i jus read something on the website. There are 4 models in this game!! It means that the whole thing will be dynamic and will keep changing to other models as it progressed. So its almost like no point guessing. So now is to hope we can pass the Real round one next week. Wish me luck!
