Daniel went off to Nz and trivia matters

Yesterday, I went to airport to send Daniel off. As I was early, I decided to went back to CAAS to see my former colleagues. But it was Sunday.. Hai. Bought some chocolates for him and Sz but he complained too heavy which i think quite true cos he still bring his laptop along. Her mum looked so sad when Daniel was leaving and hugged him before he checked in. Her eyes almost welled with tears. A touching scene.

So I was reading this online article saying that a man was jailed 9months for having sex with an underage prostitute. The prostitute was 17yrs old but a new law was enacted to prevent below 18 year old from plying the sex trade. The defence lawyer appealed that his client do not know about this new law but the Judge dismissed that and said that it was widely debated in newspaper and Parliment

The main issue I am concerned about is that NOT every Singaporeans read news and I was totally unaware of this law too. It is too demanding for everyone of us to get updated to news everyday too. So, if one day, you were convicted of something u are ignorant about, how does it justify fairness. I feel sad for the man if he is totally ignorant about the new law though i think most people out there will say he deserved it for playing around.

Last presentation AA306 with jason and gb

Time really flies. . And this is the last school project AA306 we have together. GB and I were in FAL, feeling nostalgic and I started to point the area we used to do IT project together with jiayin and jiayi and jason. And also the place where I do my marketing project . I think I will miss NTU. Think alot ppl will say I am crazy. Actually my life in NTU is great because of Jason and Gb. Sounded gay again.. Feel really comfortable with them cos they are very nice guys. Anyway, they are still single. HAHA use blog to advertise them. Cos Guobin say last sem must find gf so I decide to help them now instead. Hehehe.

So our dear Guobin suggested to take photo after AA306. Argghh.. I have a red nose.. FLU!

Slight sore throat and Pan Asian competition

Today morning, after realizing I had a slight sore throat, I quickly gulped lots of water and throat soothing sweets --> Ricola. Reminds me of the advertisement Riiii colaaaa. Lucky the sore throat went off but the flu is still there :(

So today afternoon have to purposely travel down to NTU for the briefing of Pan Asian competition. My competitors are all smarties, it will be a hard fight. This competition will be more tedious den Cesim. Have to meet almost everyday which I dun mind cos mostly likely meet at my house. Den Guobin says maybe he has to buy MRT concession. Poor thing. Hehehe

So now I will jus go through a bit on AA306 project and wear formal to present tomorrow. Going to sleep soon :)

7hrs of lesson

Had a 7hr lesson today. From AA304 to Astro lecture, though i slept half hr during the Astro lecture. After that is AA306 project meeting in FAL. Couldn finish it fast enough so we have to meet on thursday again. So after the project, the three of us went to Jurong point to explore abit. Its huge and we went to subway for dinner. Mine is a foot long sandwich with double cheese. Almost cant finish it and I shared my whole drink with jason.

We will went back to school tomorrow to see the Pan Asian competition. Hope its cesim again so that I do not have to learn a new simulation game.

Dental visit today, AA306 and SIA

I went to NDC (National Dental Centre) today. Waited for half hour but I am still grateful that my dentist helped me push my dates earlier so that I can fix this implant sooner.

Total cost for Stage 2 implant = $1200... GST = $80 :/ No wonder the govt gives me GST credit. Today the total cost increase from $700 to $1200 cos I am paying the material upfront. The materials are white gold and titanium. So next time I die rite, I will ask my wife to take out my tooth and sell.

So back to AA306.. Suddenly my tutor changes my question 2 for goodwill impairment. Dun understand the purpose as it only change the figures but not the essence of the balance sheet. Weird.. So now i will type out my ppt for my friday presentation.

I was cursing SIA yesterday right.. SIA cancels even more flights today and CIMB downgrades it to TP $7.60. A 40% discount of its NTA.. Net tangible asset. Its like buying 60% of their value of airplanes (assume their airplanes is bulk of their NTA and is at cost minus depreciation) if it hit $7.60. (Disclaimer: I haven really research on SIA yet but inital figures are provided by analyst and own assumptions). We still haven count the intangible asset of SIA brand.. Today.. it drop like a poo.. 4% off... The power of analyst to influence retailers...
So thats the only good about taking accounting. I get to understand the ratios and apply it amateurly :)

Noisy days

Argghhh.. My nephew and my mum are super noisy.. My 2 yr old nephew will scream if he cant get what he wants and my mum will scream when my nephew climbs too high. Totally disturb my morning sleep. What to do. Only hope that my nephew can grow faster and be more sensible. So today I wake up at 9.30am ( no lesson ). Go downstairs complain to my mum dun shout pls but she will say no choice. Always that same answer. Den I jus go and play with nephew. Flung him up and down which he likes, hoping that he will like me. Hahahahaha. Haven call me jiu jiu yet! always call ah ma.. Jealous!

My room oso turned from a tranquil to a basar malam. My neighbour strategically places her 29inch LCD TV near my window. Is like so sian. I cant even hear and watch their programmes. More closing of windows and air conditioning which I dun like cos I like to save on electricity bills. Dilemma....

Thailand trip booking at IT room today

After a lunch with a bunch of cat clique today, cat, benjamin, xl, kl, chongtang, rachel and jiaxin all go to IT room near FAL to book a grad trip to Thailand.. Its only $160.. yea.. 7 ppl will be going excluding jiaxin

So i was thinking of another grad trip but i think Taiwan more feasible liao.. No one wanna go Los Angeles which cost around $1498 for air ticket.. SIA somemore.. But its better not to go USA bah.. cos i wont have money for internal flights.. which will be a huge waste..

Taiwan will be $220 and is ever increasing.. now $300 le.. hope it stops there as SIA is cancelling trips around the whole world.. and already stopping their trade to Canada.. the first time it stopped this route since starting it 25 yrs ago.. SIA looks like going to drop like a poo soon.. jus hoping their hedging fails!! (evil man..) so that i can buy their stock..
